Visited the hotel during the end of October and was pleasantly surprised how beautiful the location truly is. The grounds are nicely manicured and clean, the rooms are sophisticated and have that luxury touch, and the service is welcoming and friendly. The spa is amazing! Cecilia, William, Carolina, and the rest of the staff were so attentive and provided an amazing experience. True professionals! The food was excellent and our servers Marco, Ivan, and Diego really made you feel special. Kopa and Silvia provided amazing butler service and made sure all of our needs were taken care of. We will definitely be recommending this hotel to our friends and will be back!

The resort is very large, beautifully designed, and feels spacious and comfortable throughout. We stayed in a suite with an exceptionally large terrace, and relaxing on the balcony while overlooking the ocean was a highlight of the stay. Staff were friendly and helpful, and our butler was responsive. We tried most of the restaurants: • Chaya (breakfast): Limited selection but sufficient. • Beach Club: Better than Riviera, in my opinion. • Toro: Nice atmosphere, food was fine. • SO’OL at Edition: Still the best — especially the chocolate clams and butter-poached stone crab. It rained for three days during our stay, but we later realized that golf carts can shuttle directly between beachfront restaurants and hotels, which is very helpful in bad weather. Cons: Very expensive — for two people, meals averaged USD 200–400 (starters ~$30, mains ~$100+). The hotel shop is limited; bring your own sunscreen (I paid $60). The biggest issue was mosquitoes — they were everywhere, including the room and restaurants. I had over ten bites, and this alone would likely prevent a return. Strongly recommend long pants, insect repellent, and anti-itch cream. Overall, the resort is quiet, uncrowded, and high quality. Compared to Edition, I personally prefer Edition — it feels more modern, intimate, private, and offers better food. St. Regis has a more classic, old-money style of luxury: grand, elegant, and expansive.

We found our recent visit as a family very relaxing and well worth the expense. The variety and quality of restaurants at both the St. Regis and the Edition made it a true culinary delight. We spent five full days without ever leaving the resort. We also dined at a third property on the premises, Etereo, but it didn’t quite match the ambiance or overall quality of the St. Regis and the Edition.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel. The service was excellent from start to finish, staff were super friendly and helpful. The location is perfect, especially being so close to the beach. Breakfast was also incredible with lots of great options and everything tasted fresh. Everyone at kids club was fantastic and we felt comfortable leaving our kid there. Overall, a wonderful experience and I would definitely stay here again!

We had the best time at this resort! By far the highlight was the beautiful bar. Mario, Miguel, Carlos, and Roger were amazing! We came back every single night to talk to them! They made the best drinks and were SO kind, I recommended this resort to my friends just to visit them at the bar!

Towards the final days of July, my family and I arrived at The St. Regis Kanai Resort and were greeted by an exceptionally warm and welcoming staff. The resort’s concept is nothing short of breathtaking. Its architecture, design, and surrounding vegetation create an atmosphere that feels both intentional and harmonious with the land. What impressed us most was the unwavering attentiveness demonstrated by every member of the team. Throughout our stay, we had the pleasure of forming a genuine connection with our butler, Alex. He consistently went above and beyond, ensuring that every aspect of our vacation was handled with care, efficiency, and thoughtful attention. The resort offers a remarkable array of services, and the spa was a highlight in itself. My mother was attended by Marlene, whose professionalism and kindness elevated the experience even further. She did far more than provide a service. She offered compassion, understanding, and an openness that my mother deeply appreciated. The culinary offerings were equally exceptional. This is not the typical “hotel cuisine”; each dish was refined, flavorful, and crafted with the same level of detail the resort shows in every corner of its operations. The St. Regis Kanai Resort truly lives up to its reputation for luxury and elegance. It honors its name with every touch, every gesture, and every service provided. A truly exquisite experience.

Quiet luxury in Riviera Maya. My husband and I greatly enjoyed our stay here. It was rejuvenating— an oasis in the area. The hotel staff went above and beyond to attend to any needs. The restaurants were outstanding, the gym was well-equipped, and the pools were magnificent. My favorite parts of the room: the verde marble throughout (omg OBSESSED), our ‘butler’ bringing a cappuccino in the morning, the Assouline coffee table books, and of course the plunge pool. 10/10 recommend a stay here if you’re seeking calm, luxury, and quality. Thanks for a lovely and pleasurable stay!

Review for March 2025 We spent 6 nights at the St. Regis Kanai for our honeymoon and it was truly incredible! The service here is unmatched. Everyone is kind, friendly, and attentive. The grounds are stunning and tranquil, the architecture highlighting the beauty of the mangroves. The poolside studio room was always left in tidy condition and well stocked with water bottles by the professional housekeeping staff. Interiors are just gorgeous and we slept deeply with the comfortable bed and blackout curtains. The butler service used Whats App to communicate requests and updates throughout our stay. We were able to change dinner reservations, add culinary experiences, order complimentary coffee from bed each morning and arrange for transportation and deliveries with ease. Our fantastic butlers Jesus and Elpidio even arranged for a surprise rose pedal bubble bath perfectly timed for us coming back from dinner one night! The food and cocktail options at this resort are high-quality, never boring and just downright delicious! Diego, Hector and William were friendly servers at the poolside Riviera where we had Nayarit style ceviche for lunch! They also have servers come around to the beach area, provide fresh towels, water, assistance with umbrellas and we never went thirsty or hungry! Getting a lounge chair is non-competitive with plenty of space. Same is the case for the adults-only beach club (where we also had incredible experiences with staff)! We took advantage of free snorkeling equipment, and we were able to see starfish and stingrays in the shallow waters off the beach. We also took four complimentary culinary classes: Mexican coffee tasting, Sikal Pak, Ceviche (shout out Tenerife!) and Margaritas! So fun! The St. Regis Bar was a huge hit for us, starting off with a surprise honeymoon cocktail with raspberry sorbet on our first night! Their Mezcal tasting lead by Samuel was highly informative and fun! Kikey and Alex were also really eager to share more about local liquors and were always up for conversation. We loved the guest bartender series with a live DJ! Toro featured an exciting menu with excellent service by Giovanni, who also surprised us with a honeymoon dessert. Talk about surprising and delighting your your guests! We also enjoyed a butler arranged golf cart ride to neighboring restaurant Ixtam where we had a delectable chicken mole. We did one excursion: Cenote swim, Akumal Turtle Snorkeling with beach club lunch. This was fun and was very convenient to book in advance of our trip. Overall, we cannot rave enough about how wonderful our stay was. We would recommend to anyone. 100/10!
